Section 1

On the evening of 16 March 2018, Ankur For the World (AFW) held its first fundraising event at the Delfino Hotel in Lugano, Switzerland. 

The event was a kick-off for the local and global education initiatives the AFW association will foster. The event was held to raise money and awareness for the Ankur For the World foundation and it’s endeavour to provide educational opportunities for those in need. 
Along with the event ticket sales, generous additional donations were received from Ankur’s family, friends and colleagues. The money raised at the event will kick start the Ankur For the World educational initiatives to better disadvantaged children in our world.

Ankur For the World Kick Off Event

Section 2

Ankur For the World has been the chosen charity cause by Nielsen for their yearly charity event in the summer of 2018. During the event AFW team had the chance to introduce the association’s running programs and its vision for future programs.

Section 3

Ankur For The World was part of the selected charity associations by Stra Lugano in 2019. We have had the opportunity to set-up a stand in the center of Lugano city where we spoke with the public about the importance of education and the causes we are working on. AFW supporters came along and ran together a 5 km city run to raise awareness and funds for diverse local charity organizations.
The "Run for Charity" project aims to concretely help and get close to the charity organizations present in the territory of the Italian part of Switzerland.
After the event, the organizers of Stra Lugano, Run for Charity have pronounced Ankur For the World as the charity with the most supporters. Way to go!

Section 4

Bringing worlds together to support good causes – this is what AFW social events are about. In the summer of 2019, we have invited our friends and supporters to celebrate the success we have achieved during our first year. We have shared AFW children success stories and had an open conversation with our audience about topics like “global poverty”, “the problems of accessibility in education”, and “the importance of school infrastructure”.

Summer Event

Section 5

An ART auction charity event that showcased some remarkable paintings contributed by independent artists from The United Kingdom, The United States, Switzerland, and South Africa. The event was organized to raise funds for one of the AFW causes – Young Creative Minds.
A project that aims to empower young children to develop their creativity while learning how to better work with others for a common goal. 
It was a wonderful evening full of colors, smiles, music, and dancing.
Thanks to everyone who came, showed love and support for the cause and bought the works of art we displayed. Thanks to the wonderful team at Hotel Delfino Lugano, and, of course, to the artists AlbedoArt, Bonnie Rose Sullivan, Grant Sellick, hERO, JF Landscape Artist, Laura Trollip, Milja Jakusic and Rebecca Freeman.
